Their StyleStory:
Ally and Bob love people, animals, conversation and fresh ideas—and they have a discerning eye when it comes to design and perspective. Their mutual love for rich, vibrant color (as exemplified in Ally's artwork) was the creative spark for their StyleStory. A warm, sun-kissed color palette now flows throughout their home, and frames the swaths of open-space. Sunlight plays against the colors and shifts tonally throughout the day. Their rotating collection of artwork, family heirlooms and photographs peppers their space with inspirational change and life. Handcrafted objects always take priority.
Their StyleStory called for a lively, eclectic mix- juxtaposing old and new. Their love of Mid-century modern plays against a warm, lived-in take on urban contemporary. Their furniture? Clean-lined, but always comfortable and inviting. Theirs is the kind of place you want to settle into with a good book and a steaming mug of coffee.
We loved creating surprise signatures, such as the exuberant, customized light fixtures. And funky, organic fabrics in happy hues provide unexpected oomph. As Ally says about their StyleStory, “We learned that anything goes—as long as it feels right!”
